Arch Conditions
The arches of the feet are made up of bones, ligaments, and tendons. The arches of the feet support the weight of the body in an erect posture and allow for movement (propulsion). The foot has three distinct arches: two longitudinal arches (one on each side) run from front to back and one transverse arch runs across the middle of the foot from inside to outside. Conditions that affect the arch of the foot include high-arched foot, Charcot foot, and flat foot. If you suffer from arch pain, let the physicians and surgeons at Ankle & Foot of Edmonds diagnose and treat your arch condition.
